accordion slide-down menu

Hello!

I want to create a very minimalist accordion type slide-down menu that reveals a bit of text. I have visualized my idea below:

 

 

 

 

A click on ‘references’ causes ‘contact’ to slide down, revealing text in between. Click on references closes the text and makes ‘contact’ slide back up again. Click on ‘contact’ closes the ‘references’-text and opens the ‘contact’-text.

 

Now I’m new to webdesign but willing to learn what is necessary for my little project. Can you point out the functions/elements I need to build this kind of menu? Do you know a link to a site or plugin that could help me with this?
