TM and ® for HTML

Recommended Posts

I have seen in code where the above symbols are not just ® but the actual number code. I know ® is alt+0174 and etc. However, I still need to use the sup tag to move the symbols up. This makes my line spacing funky. If you can use the number code that makes the symbol AND moves it up, it won't mess with your spacing.Does anyone know where I can find these number codes (or know what I'm talking about) :)

Here is a partial list of codes:http://www.lookuptables.com/(click HTML codes on the top)But the register character is not superscript, it's just normal. If you want to make it superscript, then you can use the sup tag, but the character itself is not a superscript character like the trademark TM is.

So you have no choice to use the element to move it up. It sounds logical your line height gets messed up somehow with this element. Maybe you could apply margin style to it? Or if that doesn't help, relative positioning :)
