~Shinta
I'm using the XHTML DTD, but I haven't switched to the application/xml+xhtml MIME type.
F-Man
I use XHTML as well as PHP to serve it as XML to browsers that support it.
firefox
Thanks for replying. Ah I respect you guys, but I still use HTML I plan on switching when I get the time. What other languages do you use? I use: HTML, PHP, CSS, JavaScript, ASP, and although it is not a browser bound language, my absolute favorite is C! Champion_Munch
Well, I'm using an XHTML doctype, so I guess that qualifies me for XHTMLDom. I only know HTML, XHTML and CSS, but I'm learning JavaScript at the moment (very slowly ).with regards

sweinkauf13
I know that there is a LITTLE difference between xhtml and html, but i'm still an HTML writter. If anyone wants to explain to me what the difference is, i'd really like to hear your opinion. Thanks, youngwebmaster
Ingolme
There's not a lot of difference. HTML doesn't require closing certain tags, like <img> and <hr>, and you can have characters like < and & around without any errors. The advantage of XHTML is being able to embed namespaces for different kinds of data. It's a little complicated and I never use it. I write my pages in HTML because Internet Explorer doesn't support the application/xhtml+xml MIME type.Edit I just realised this topic is old. Don't bump old topics, it doesn't help anybody.

Guest FirefoxRocks
I use both, XHTML for testing stuff (IE users can't see it) and HTML for a lot of the other stuff.
