Mega Menu Help :/

Hello,
I googled a small mega menu together :D, actually wanted to do it with a script at Wordpress, but this doesn't work the way I want it to, well...

I have this code : see under

 

Now the menu unfortunately opens when you move the mouse over it. But I would like that you have to click, that it then opens.

And that then on the right, when it has opened, there is also an X to close.

The owner of this site had given me his script, but I can't get along with it, because I don't know what I would have to do to make it work ^^(https://github.com/GlobalGameport/Netzwerkleiste)

Could you possibly help me with this processing?
