Am I missing something here? I've tried everything and still can't get a slideshow to work

I've been trying for weeks to incorporate a slideshow from the link below into my site. Nothing I've tried has worked. I've even gone as far as to download templates of other options, made them work, and then as soon as I try to place it into my site it suddenly doesn't work. I've included a .zip file of the site files I have been attempting to use. I appreciate any advice or help you can give, thank you in advance.

I know that the website is incredibly old, and that websites aren't really made like this anymore, but covid has derailed my organization's plans to build a new site and my task is to bandaid the site we currently have until we can do something better.
