The big picture

I think it would be great if there were a high level view of web development - client side and server side.  And then a) some kind of model that shows, for example, on the sever side - the engine, the database. and the interaction with HTML.   And then how do all the various alternatives fit together and what where is python the best, and discuss micro webservers, etc.  Just to get a picture overall in one place without having to piece it together from several different web sites.  You could start with XAMP,  and describe how a page gets served.  And then move on to all the various options including flask, nginx, lighpd, etc   MEAN stack MongoDB, ExpressJS, AngularJS, NodeJS.   And then Django, and where/why various programming languages are used: Python vs PHP vs Java.  Ruby On Rails, etc.  What kinds of things are better than others for various tasks.
