I know it has nothing to do with the thread's subject but can anyone explain me the difference between Notepad 2 and notepad++? Thanks alot :).
What do you mean? Of course it is to do with this thread, erm but I really am not sure myself, I only have Notepad 2 and Notepad. When I use Notepad by mistake because I click notepad when I right click and go open with I just can't stand it. I was telling someone how to fi there code and refferenced someone to a certain line that they needed to change, and they said "Do you really expect me to count the lines" and I had completely forgot that they had Notepad and not Notepad 2. It makes such a difference.

What we like . . . is of course . . . THOSE ONES WITH HTML EDITORS :)Everyone likes html editors because it supports some things that they don't know that we don't . . . Example isDreamweaverDreamweaver shows the generated html editor (Not read-only, w/ edit 2!) and it has some things that windows doesn't know, and so we are up for browsers with HTML editors

that makes absolutely no sense...theis topic IS about HTML Editors!
When he says HTML editors, (s)he's probably talking about editors with WYSIWYG view, but it certainly wouldn't harm to make his/her meaning clearer.Or as Justsomeguy put it, take his/her medication.

Are you kidding me? You don't use a program such as dreamweaver! It's just to click on e.g "table" and you'll get a table. To make the best sites, you have to code it yourself. Not let a machin do it :)

i dont really need/want lots of features just any text editor with syntax highlighting, search & replace, tabs and spellcheck. i use ultraedit right now & it does the job but i would be just as happy with crimsonedit

I chose Notepad, so am I missing out on anything by just using Notepad? It's pretty basic ... :) You code in there, you create the file name + EXT when you're done, and then you can edit it. Yeah, basic. But works! The other programs probably try to automate things? Not sure what Notepad2 is about.
