@Alien: I've never touched front page before. Do they let you edit html code yourself? just curious.===I prefer dreamweaver using the MX style menu. My uncle likes the old style. Where everything was basically a separte window. ugh, too much hassle for me.The only other program I've tried is NVU. It's definately not bad for beginners. But I found it a little frustrating to use 'cause I wanted to do a certain thing but couldn't find it. xp Also I couldn't see code and normal view at the same time. But nonetheless I say it's pretty good.I'll have to look at the other programs in the list. *nods*

Why cs3 and not cs4?
Because he lost his CS3 disk? :)

Yes I am sorry to see that notepad++ was not listed!Syntax highlighting and all the features you need in a text editor, it is great and for the icing on the cake it is open source! Can't do better than that for basic coding! The tabbed method of working makes it great for working on 10+ pages all at once without having windows popping up everywhere! Try it! ^_^b*Edited* for terrible typos...

Anyone use Aptana?I use it at work and have recently adopted it at home. Previously I only used notepad, but Aptana has some great advantages for project management and server deployment, it also integrates well with subversion
