Greetings from North Carolina!I'm a senior at high school, who plans to major somewhere in liberal arts. But before that I was very interested in Web Design. The reason I'm here is because of something called the Senior Project. It is required for me to graduate, and the basic idea is to get the students working outside of a study/research oriented environment and have us contribute to the community. Give the students a stressful stretch.My topic of choice: Web Design. They do not want people creating web sites for their product, but my subject being what it is that is unavoidable. My product keeps on changing, I hope I just get one of them done before it's due in 2 weeks!! Anyways for common ground: I like Final Fantasy, Stargate, Visual Art, compelling plots, language, culture, english, tea....I'm Thai and Filipinooh and my brithday is on May23

Hello W3schools! I am Alien. I am a beginner at web design. I find it really fun and interesting but sometimes really hard. If anyone could help me out on what I should learn first. I've already learned HTML and a little big of CSS from this site. The others I find a little difficult. I would really appreciate it if someone would help. THey said they needed help so I clicked the link was redirected to porn site. I didn't have a happy expression, I pity the person.hrm, I just just checked. Doesn't look like I can use PMs either....Sounds like me and you are at about the same skill level. :)What I'd do is find something to design. The best way to learn html is hands on. You are really good at drawing realistic portraits, and even with all the angles and some distortion. LIke your latest update jacksl. "Girl Portrait" is my favorite, I'll have to comment on that once I have the time.hehe, I mentioned that to my tour guide at Open House and she referred to me as a brave soul. I understand it being hard, it's just the people who can understand numbers and not letter than just amaze me. Like many people I know math is another language which I'll never comprehend.I'd be glad to proofread every now and then. *nod*oooo, okay got it now dan :)maaaybe I'll edit it some. Hello boys and girls...Had the urge to learn the proper skills to make serious webpages recently, and scoured the web for information... didn't find anything quite as complete, but at the same time easy to understand, as the w3c schools stuff. I managed to get apache going with php and mysql (even though none of the auto-install distributions worked and i had to set them all up manually :/) and combined almost every one of the "lessons" in each of those sections to create a single page demonstrating each of them :)Suffice to say I've got some ideas of what I wanted to make, and now I'm going through revising my html, then onto javascript and xml! Thanks a bunch to whoever wrote these things and decided to make them available to all and sundry- Alex

Trotun, THanks man, I love drawing. probably need to draw more than I do now. Drawing portraits is fun because you are getting someones facial expression in a 2dimensional surface. While it is very time consuming with my method of drawing it brings a mode of relaxation.
