The Praetorian
I'm using this line..html { min-height: 100%; margin-bottom: 1px;}to add scroll bars to every page regardless of length. However, it doesn't work in Opera. I was just curious if anyone knew a work-around for this, so I could get the same effect for Opera. Thanks in advance. Reg Edit
to add scroll bars to every page regardless of lengthFrom a user's perspective, this does not seem an attractive idea. What is the real requirement? I assume it is a workaround for some layout problem?
Jonas
Can't you use the CSS overflow property instead?http://www.w3.org/TR/CSS21/visufx.html#overflowI think using overflow: scroll; in html { } would be the right thing to do in this case, if you must have scrollbars on every page... The Praetorian
It helps with page shifting. If you switch between a page with a scroll bar and a page without, the content shifts to make room or to make up for the room. Having a scroll bar on every page eliminates this shifting. It's not as intrusive as it may sound.
