Yes I am doing that and it is not working. I also saw the post from davej, tried it but did not work get the same problem. I don't know if it is a problem with the TextEdit. This is what I see when I run after trying Davej's recommendation. <! DOCTYPE html > <html> <head> <title>My First Website</title> </head> <body> <h1> My First Heading</h1> <p>My First Paragraph.</p> </body> </html>

Yes I am using web browsers. Safari and Firefox. Tried both and they all give the same result. Kassim

I am new to this. I started the lesions on HTML using MacBookPro so I am using TextEdit, but when I write the codes and save them in html extension and run it, it appears with the tags. What am I doing wrong? Please help. Kassim
