Oops - I meant...left:10px and margin-left:10px toldya I'm a newbHave you copied that correctly? There is no position-left property. There is a left property, but it can be used only when the position property is set to something other than the default value, which is static. -
What's the diff between eg: position-left:10px and margin-left:10px They seem to do the same thing. Thanks from a newbie! Best Regards,-Mark and two Cats

In the following W3Schools Try-It-Yourself example, certain effects are imparted to text in a webpage, but although the commands have stop tags, the effects extend beyond their intended element. http://www.w3schools.com/css/tryit.asp?filename=trycss_navbar_horizontal_advanced When I add this (the "Test" link) to the body, the a-href link picks up line item formatting, even though
and preceed it:

Home

News

Contact

About

test
How do I limit the Display properties so they do not influence unintended elements of the webpage? Yes, I am a newbie. Thanks! Best Regards,-Mark and two Cats

How can I include text after the words "Underlined heading" without a line break as happens to the word "TEST":--------------------------------------------

Underlined heading

TEST

--------------------------------------------What is causing the line break? It happens with other attribues such as color, etc. Thanks!
