w3schools helps me with learning more than what is teached in French Institutes of Technologies, and even before then, it helped me with learning html/css, and I'm still learning more stuff. The try-it yourself helps a lot because you can instantly try and see if it is what you're lookng for and the forum people are very helpfull too.To me w3schools is the best website for when you want to learn an Internet language.

OK, thanks, I'm gonna look for this.

This is begining to get on my nerves. How do we add a logo in the address bar? Using IE, it appears only when it's a link in the favorites. w3schools has a nice dice, the forum has some sort of 'v' in white and blue... How????
-
Sure it does. Thanksul.bug{list-style-image:url('../../tag/fire.gif');font-size:12pt;font-family:Garamond;line-height:50px;}How aboutli {line-height: ??px;}Does that work? -
nope. That won't solve the problem. I tried padding-bottom and padding-top, but none separated the list images.
-
[ok] Thanks, I'll try using padding.

I will, but just to be sure, isn't there a element supposed to specify the space between two lines of a list?

.icotag{list-style-image:url('../../tag/star.gif');font-size:12pt;font-family:Garamond;color:#EEEE99;}looks perfect on IE, Firefox and Opera9, but not on Opera's latest update.
-
That's the whole problem when you want to use several web browsers. I know there a website that shows you how your page would look like if you were using Safari, but I can't remember the name. You can always try google, lol!If you have both browsers with you, then try to make something that looks the same, even if it's not valid, that's the only advice I can give.

Somehow the update for Opera 9 has troubles in interpreting lists (and maybe other things). I changed my list bullets to images, but wiith this update the pictures are one on the other (= ugly looking).I don't know what method would be best to change this.Thanks.

That happens to be the first, it is a custom cursor. Only IE supports custom cursors? :'([ok] that explains it all. Thanks. Is this a browser thing where the cursor is custom in IE (Internet Explorer) but not in Firefox? or a computer system cursor? If it's the first, firefox doesn't support the custom cursors (If I'm not mistaken then I think all browsers don't support it, except for IE). If it's the second, then I have no idea. -
I just realized my cursors don't appear with Firefox. Is it normal or is it me?

ordered list
in CSS
Is there a way of inverting the number of an ordered list?I'd like to have decremented numbers, but JavaScript doesn't realy fit with what I want to do.
-
Thanks but unfortunatly with this, although it appears fine on Firefox, it looks no good on Internet Explorer. But then I created a new table only for it to contain the menu... Somehow it works that way. (the buttons are a horizontal menu made with a list, btw)
-
Is there a way I can avoid the space that is automatically displayed with a list?I created a horizontal menu, but the trouble is I have a blank space I don't want between the menu and an image underneath it.Thanks
which extension?

Get both! If you can pay both get both, that's the best way to be sure. And if you can't get the .com, you need to advertise and add on your pages an "add to favorites" button. But don't forget that, unless it's for a rather large company, websites are found mostly using search engines (google being #1 of them), so do not forget to choose the right keywords... You can study the results on search engines with tools like Internet Business Promoter, it will compare for you the keywords you want to use with what already exists. It can be useful.
