Guest kyzyl
Hello all, I don't know if there can be anything done by people here, but I couldn't find anywhere else to contact W3C Schools. I just noticed thatthe ASP.Net tutorial makes no mention of how if you install the .Net Framework AFTER you install IIS, the aspx extension will not be registered, and the aspx DLL will not be installed. This problem is solved by running: C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v1.1.4322\aspnet_regiis.exe -i from the 'Run' dialog. I know this little quirk puzzled me for a while, and I know it's bugged lots of other people. You don't get an error, just an un-parsed page. I just think that there should be a note, footnote, or some means of informing readers that they may need to do this. Thanks for listening, Kyzyl. aspnetguy
Actually when you download the .Net framework from the microsoft website...it is a self installer. You just double click the download and it installs by itself. You don't need to play with regedit to install .net (I wouldn't recommend doing it this way either).
