Guest Wali Khan
I am trying to use WebService to collate some Data from 3-4 database which are at different geographical places to one central Database. I wanted to know is this the recommended way to proceed with this problem or someone can propose a better approach.
Skemcin
Is this meant to be a short term solution or long term. In other words, do you intend to have the web service do whatever you have it doing "forever" or just until all your data is synchronized into one central database in one location.Once you have your data centralized, then a Web Service would be ideal for each geographical location to use to extract information.Does this help? Is there any other information you can offer to more clearly define your situation?
boen_robot
As far as I know, databases could be accessed remotely if you just know the username and the password. Are theese databases yours? If so, then you don't need WebServices. You would need them if the data is not stored in a database but rather generated at the moment.
