sadman1
I'm a very amateur web designer who designs for fun. I find w3schools a great resource. Thanks Guys!!I've tried moving to XML but can't get any of the XML examples to work in my firefox browser (despite version upgrades) but seem to work fine with IE6.Is this a known problem? or just me!! What am I doing wrong? For Example http://www.w3schools.com/xml/tryit.asp?filename=cd_list doesn't show any data at all
boen_robot
The example you show is using data islands. Data islands are not a web standart. Because of this, they are only supported in IE. Standart compilant browsers like Opera and FireFox don't support it. This fact is a known issue.
mpoer
If you're doing web design (aka markup), XML isn't really the way to go. Try XHTML, a combination of XML and traditional HTML. There are plenty of XHTML tutorials on w3schools.com
