boen_robot
Really? !important changes priority? I thought it's only applyed when styles are turned off, so it could provide balance between author and user stylesheets. Only an !important rule in the user stylesheet can override an !important rule in the author stylesheet.
Jack McKalling
The browser's default styles are lowest priority, you only see the default font, size, colors etc if there are no styles defined that override the defaults.<{POST_SNAPBACK}> Okay, you may be right about that, I just tested it. But I really thought it was the highest, lol :)I have heard of !important thingy, never used it never needed it either, but didn't even know what it was meant to do... Would it work in every browser? I don't know the use of it, while I myself won't have double values defined to the same element: I use external sheets only (but even if I add an internal I wouldn't define doubles either) Thus making !important obsolete :)Anyway, ontopic,,, Edited May 29, 2006 by Dan The Prof
