Guest takcc Posted May 20, 2006 Share Posted May 20, 2006 how to write a XML format to change the report color, let say red/blue/green and to bold/italics/(bracketed) after print out the report.can we have reference of it?? also it is better to show the XML Schema, stylesheet(s) to accommodate the different printing output styles. boen_robot Posted May 20, 2006 Share Posted May 20, 2006 You could use CSS to style an XML document, but that would be realy plain.You could use XSLT to transform the XML to XHTML and style it with CSS (the best method for all) but then again, most browsers have problems with different print specific properties, so it might get ocmplicated at some point.You could use XSLT in combination with XSL-FO and then use XSL-to-PDF convertor application to generate a print preview of the page. That's probably the best method for printing purposes, scince you don't care for cross browser compatabilities, but just "want the job done".
