MrAdam
Well, on some forums and websites, i have noticed that the textareas have varied styled text. For example clicking a bold button will make some of the text in the textarea bold-- but not all of it! I'm assuming this is done using JavaScript. Does anybody know how to do it?-Thanks
Jack McKalling
Just like in Gmail compose? It is like a rich text editor, but plain html textareas can't do that. I don't know if javascript can style part of the text in it at all, but as Gmail can do it, somehow this should be possible. Unfortunately, the source of Gmail is so complicated for me or hidden whatsoever, that I can't figure out how they do it.
Chocolate570
It's called a rich text editor. Cross-browser ones are *DARN* hard to find, but tinyMCE is a great one. If you'd like to attempt making one, try this site:http://www.webreference.com/programming/ja...pt/gr/column11/Andhttp://www.webreference.com/programming/ja...pt/gr/column12/
