simonbillinton
Hello all,I wonder if anyone can help me. On this website i'm doing - www.syrinx.net.au - the front page layout is all weird when viewed in IE (though fine in Firefox). If you click on any of the links you will see the correct layout. There is only one CSS file that is being used. How can this one page be different to the others?Any ideas? Thanks,Simon. Jack McKalling
I see you are using conditions for which stylesheet you activate, IE5 or IE6. Are you sure you can't make one sheet for all browsers?
aspnetguy
Dan...if you used more than just IE you would know the quirkiness between IE and every other browser. In a lot of cases different styles must be defined for different browsers to get them to look the same. Jack McKalling
I do know that, but are those conditions valid in the head section? I am not sure of that, haven't seen it before
aspnetguy
yes they are valid. How else could you place different stylesheets in the <head> if conditional comments were allowed in the <head>?
Jack McKalling
Okay, sorry :)Well I use PHP for that condition so, that is why. Don't want to bother or anything.

I got a solution from someone on another forum - I had some code that i had applied a html comment to, and when i removed that and the redundant code, the page appeared fine in IE.hope that helps someone else
