Form with multiple buttons

I have a form with various fields and buttons that delete, insert and edit a table. Depending on which button is pressed, it executes one of the queries. How do I evaluate which button was pressed in php. For example: how do I write in php if delete button was pressed execute this code. Thanks for the help
