huseyin
hi to everybody,i am a student doing my graduation project.i need to send arp commands from my web application ( asp.net2005) to a cisco router , my database and arp commads are ready but i dont know how to send these commands to routers, i research some documents and i think i need to use snmp ( wsnmp.dll and mgmtapi.dll ) , if i need to use it how can i use this snmp libraries in my asp.net2005 project ??ori think i will use sockets to send commands to router (i am not sure) , how can i get information about how to send commands from web application to cisco router by using socketsthank you for ur replies
aspnetguy
this lesson demonstrates how to execute a batch (.bat) file from C#.You could put your arp commands in a batch file and have C# execute the file.
huseyin
hmm , i think i cant explain the stuation in a clear way, sorry for that , my program will work intermediately (one arp command will be send at a time), i mean when some student wants to open his/her access to internet and comes to our office, we register him/her and my web application will send the arp command to the router at that time (intermediately)
aspnetguy
I am not very familiar with network programming. Surely the router you are using has an API you could use. What is the model of the router...please be specific.
