Hello,I am fairly new at building web sites.I have only built two prior sites and they were affiliate sites where the parent company handled all the product and payment. Recently a friend hired me to build a website part time for his 26yr. old medical supply company. The problem I am having is he wants to market not only to end users but to companies and vendors who also provide medical equipment and will be placeing large orders to pay cod or by invoice but yet at the same time still market to the web for end user purchases. The end user purchases I can take through pay pal and/or google check out. But the problem is the companies, hospitals, dr.s etc that wish to order on credit to be billed will check out differently. Initially He wants a pdf credit application the applicant can fill out if possible then print it out and fax or call it in for security, as apposed to completeing the app. on a secure server that cost money to host. Also I may add he doesn't want to purchase programs or spend money he wants me to figure out how to do it and this is a new area for me.How do I get the application for credit on his server in downloadable pdf format??Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

you can make a word document of the credit application form.if you have acrobat you can convert the word document to a pdf if you dont have that there are free websites that will do it. https://www.pdfonline.com/convert_pdf.asp (will mail the pdf to your address)upload this to server.include a link in your html page e.g.<a href="form.pdf">download credit application form</a>then they will be able to download this and faxx it in or whateverI think it would be much better to just have an online HTML form. that can be submitted to his email let me know if you want more detail

Thanks for the info. The link will be quite helpful to convert html or other documents to pdf. I agree with you i think we should just use html and forward it via email. But would we require a secured server for that??You askd to let you know if i was interested in more info. Yes I would be very interested thanks,Also If you know of any shopping carts or do you think pay pal and google check out would be sufficient for the individual end users to order by. The credit app is only for other equipment suppliers, ems, hospitals etc. Also he would like a members sign in for the credit approved members to sign in and order by their id #.This is all new and kinda overwhelming. I'm sure after I do it and get it up i will do great but the first time esp. teaching myself can be challenging. Also he does not want to spend money on programs, as i have recomended a few. Any help or suggestions you can offer would be great.ron

Hello, Also when someone orders they will have to fill out a form and have it emaild to him. I put together the first form i have ever done using the tutorials here at w3schols and he didn't like the out put. the email had the topic = answer with no space. for example. age =40 location =idaho. He didn't like this he wants a members area that emails him the orders so on his end he can dump em into a data base with just a click no decifering the emails.I have only marketed some affiliate sites one obtained a pr4, but the affiliates took all the payments and orders. this is new to me. thanks for any input or ideas you have.
