saaimurugan
Dear All I am trying to save some images in the browser’s local storage, but as the image size is more, the local storage is exhausted. Please let me know, is there a way to increase the Local Storage size programmatically using Java Script. As I am doing this for a ePub I am not sure on the other storage methods. Thanks Saai Murugan
justsomeguy
That's not possible at this point. There's work being done on an API to allow changes to quotas but it's still a draft, it's only a few months old at this point.http://www.w3.org/TR/quota-api/
saaimurugan
Ho That is bad news, any way Thanks. Can you kindly let me know what is the limit of the Local Storage as of now.
justsomeguy
The limit isn't part of the specification, and some browsers will prompt you when it's full and ask if you want to increase it. I've seen Opera do that. Others might have options that allow the user to configure the limit. There's some discussion about it here:http://stackoverflow.com/questions/2989284/what-is-the-max-size-of-localstorage-values
