Trust me. I don't want to do it.

So my objective is to take a bunch of Select Statements of various lengths and complexities and provide the relational algebra "translation" of them. Extremely confusing for me, not much help from other sources I have looked at. Anyone know a good place to start? I will give you an example of one of the SQL statements I am suppose to translate. SELECT FirstName, LastNameFROM EMPLOYEEWHERE EmployeeNumber IN(SELECT DISTINCT EmployeeNumberFROM ASSIGNMENTWHERE HoursWorked > 50); I am not asking for the answer. I merely want to be set on the right track as I am unsure where to even begin with this.
