  1. Sorted! Just added an s to http. Got lucky!
  2. It just leaves a blank space on the screen. SS won't advise on code i'm afraid.
  3. Hello there, I am trying to embed this video that's on the BBC website onto my Squarespace site but unlike my youtube videos, it just doesn't work. Can you help? When i posted this on the SS forum, the video actually displays(in preview anyway) so is it something to do with the frame width/height? Here's the code "<iframe width="400" height="500" frameborder="0" src="http://www.bbc.co.uk/emp/embed/smpEmbed.html?playlist=http%3A%2F%2Fplaylists.bbc.co.uk%2Fnews%2Fmagazine-28028597A%2Fplaylist.sxml&title=Spike%20Lee's%20Do%20The%20Right%20Thing%20celebrates%2025%20years%20since%20release&product=news"></iframe>" Here's the Spike Lee video i want http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/magazine-28028597 and here's my page https://andy-bowden.squarespace.com/spike-lee/ Many thanks, Andy
  4. Definitely looks better. Thank you.
  5. Many thanks for your replay. Instead of 'none', is there a method of putting a border around it? it looks a bit lost as it is or as i mentioned before, have it already 'open' so folks don't need to click it to see my three social media icons? thank you

    Squarespace help

Hello there, I wondering if anyone can conjur up some magic code to help me and my little website What i'd like is a fancier 'Share' button, the link that Squarespace automatically puts at the end of every blog post is really dull so i'd like someone that stands out a bit. In fact, what i'd like is no Share button at all and just my three social media buttons (facebook, twitter, google+) automatically on display Hope you can help me as i didn't have a response from the SS forum Andy https://andy-bowden.squarespace.com/batman-v-superman
  7. Afraid not, i'll just have to live with it. Thank you for your help.
  8. The only thing i can tell you im afraid is that i position the block which can be either stretched or shorted via the bar on the sides but when its reduces so much it reacts by putting the icons vertically.
  9. Ah right, would you have the time to explain how i go about this? Andy
  10. I thought i was there but not quite, the twitter feed is done and im happy with it but there is still too much space both sides of the social media icons Someone on the Squarespace forum suggested this div.socialaccountlinks-v2-block { margin-top: 20px !important; padding-left: 17px !important; padding-right: 17px !important; } but it doesn't work, any thoughts, folks? https://andy-bowden.squarespace.com/ andy
  11. ah, might have sussed it!
  12. Thank you. I'm a total noob so if someone can tell me what the css is to alter the block i'd be grateful, if i could find it myself i would. I find i'm spending so much time with tiny things on squarespace i'm beginning to regret my decision to sign up.
  13. Hello there, if anyone can help me i would be extremely appreciative. I can trying to reduce the margins around the 'social icon block' and the 'twitter feed block', especially the bottom. I haven't had any response from the Squarespace forum i'm afraid. https://andy-bowden.squarespace.com/ Many thanks, Andy

    text fade

Ah right, as soon as i find out what that means i'll look into it haha ps i just started the book 'css web design for dummies' but the author clearly works for Microsoft as he endlessly promotoes IE. Anyway, the query arose from chapter one about filters which includes the code <html><head><style>div.box {width: 300px; height: 200px; padding: 30px; font: 46pt times new roman;}</style></head><body><div class="box" style=" filter: progid:DXImageTransform.Microsoft.Alpha(Opacity=100,FinishOpacity=0, Style=1, StartX=0, FinishX=0, StartY=0,FinishY=100)">Hey...you can modify opacity.</div></body></html> but it only works for IE and digging around on the internet i couldn't find anything to make it work on firefox, perhaps i was putting it in the wrong place. Thanks again for your help by the way.
