    hi,I've a major problem on my hands. At the top three pages on my website, there are ads in shades of blue that I did for two companies that I represent using CSS. However, they're not supposed to be at the top. I've searceD my CSS code trying to find out the cause of this mishap but to no avail. One of the pages caught in this malaise is http://www.geocities.com/e-commerce.htm. here is the css code:body { background-color: #FFFF99;}.info { color: #996600; font-size: 12px; font-weight: bold; text-align: center; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;}.webtips { font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 16px; background-color: #0099FF; font-weight: bold; text-transform: capitalize;}.leftside { background-color: #009933; text-align: justify; width: 100px;}.contents { font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12px; font-weight: bold; text-transform: capitalize; color: #FFFFFF; background-color: #00CCFF; text-align: center; width: 100px;}.webauthoring { font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12px; font-weight: bold; text-transform: capitalize; color: #000000; background-color: #006699; text-align: justify; width: 100px;}.html { font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12px; font-weight: bold; text-transform: uppercase; color: #0000FF; background-color: #99ccff; text-align: justify; width: 100px;}.layout { font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12px; font-weight: bold; text-transform: capitalize; color: #0000FF; background-color: #99CCFF; text-align: justify; width: 100px;}.main { background-color: #FFFFFF; width: 700px;}a:link { text-decoration: none; color: #0033FF;}#features { font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12px; font-weight: bold; text-transform: capitalize; color: #000000;}.htmlhead { font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12px; font-weight: bold; text-transform: uppercase; color: #000000; text-decoration: none; background-color: #666666; text-align: justify; width: 100px;}.htmtab { width: 320px;}home { text-align: center; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12px; color: #0033FF;}.htmarticle { font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12px; font-weight: normal; text-transform: none; color: #000000; width: 250px;}.rightside table { width: 287px;}.navhead { font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12px; font-weight: bold; text-transform: capitalize; color: #000000; text-decoration: none; background-color: #666666; text-align: justify;}a:visited { color: #0000FF; text-decoration: none;}.otherarticles { font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12px; font-weight: bold; text-transform: capitalize; color: #993333; text-align: justify; width: 200px;}.bother { font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; text-align: justify; width: 200px;}.should { font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12px; font-weight: normal; text-transform: capitalize; color: #000000;}.htm { font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 16px; text-transform: capitalize; color: #000000; text-align: center; font-weight: bold;}.pid { font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12px; font-weight: bold; color: #009966; background-color: #FFFFFF;}#cashcards { font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12px; font-weight: bold; text-transform: capitalize; color: #000000; text-align: justify; background-color: #00CCFF;}.trademark { font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12px; font-weight: bold; text-transform: capitalize; color: #000000; background-color: #66CCFF; text-align: justify;}#tip { font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12px; font-weight: bold; text-transform: none; color: #000000; background-color: #CCCCCC; text-align: justify;}.DOCTYPE { background-color: #CCCCCC; font-weight: bold;}.boffo { font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12px; font-weight: bold; text-transform: capitalize; color: #FF0000; background-color: #FFFFFF; text-align: justify;}.ebook { font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12px; font-weight: bold; color: #333333; background-color: #66CCFF; text-align: justify; border-top-width: thin; border-right-width: thin; border-bottom-width: thin; border-left-width: thin; border-top-style: solid; border-right-style: solid; border-bottom-style: solid; border-left-style: solid;}.sbitab { width: 100px; border: thin solid #0000CC; font-size: 16px; font-weight: bold; text-transform: none; color: #000000; text-align: justify; word-spacing: normal;}.proof { width: 200px;}.sbiboard { font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 14px; font-weight: bold; text-transform: none; color: #993300; text-align: justify;}.forex { font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12px; font-style: normal; font-weight: normal; color: #000000; text-align: justify; width: 200px; border: thin solid #003399;}.referral { font-size: 12px; font-weight: bold;}a:link { font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-weight: bold;}

  2. Hi,I applied the tag body {background-color: #FFFF99;} to create a yellow background for all the pages on my website. However, I noticed that one of my pages, www.geocities.com/kkisie2000/fun_tricks.htm only has a white background Why is that?kaz

  3. Hi all,it's been a while since I spoke to you guys. I'm designing a newsletter for our ICT Directorate to be posted on our University website within the next couple of hours. Now I want give the white space behind the main page a christmas background. Where in the code do I put "Background image? I ask this question because I put this in the body tag and the Christmas image completely removed the page, turning the entire page into a christmas decoration. Please let me know as soon as possible as my deadline is fast approaching. The link for the newsletter is http://www.geocities.com/kkisie2000/. By the way forget the look of the newsletter as this is a temporary link.thanx kaz

  4. Thanx. I have another question. My website is going to be on Geocities, whose ads will also be on my website since they're offering me free hosting space. Now since Google are also going to put their ads on my website, won't that create problems? Also how do you sell advertising space to companies?kaz

    It all depends on your site and its visitors. ALso, with Adsense, I believe that it matters how many clicks you get compared to the number of impressions. 10 clicks and 100000000 impressions makes, lets say, $1. Whereas 5 clicks with 6 impressions will make more. I THINK. What im planning to do is sell advertising space to similar companies. For example (a very far-fetched one) say I was Microsoft. I make a site that heaps of people visit, and then sell ad space on it to another computing company. It will sell high since they'd get plenty of visitors.As I said on another forum, be creative :)Also, nice project you have in mind, I wish you the best of luck.

  5. Hi guys,I 'm embarking on an ambitious project where I I want to design websites about all web technologies ranging from html to PHP. This is meant to be a life-time project in that I'm doing this in mind; First, to disseminate information, and also to make some money off companies who advertise on my websites. However, I have a question. I know Google and some other search engines have affiliate programs dealing with what I'm talking about. How good are they? I'd like you guys to give me your opnion on this before I join one of these programs.thanxkaz
