  1. ok bear with me on this one and appologies if this is in the wrong forum: What do i need to do to get my page on the web? I know to register the domain name and loading onto a server, but what server, and who do i register domain name to?
  2. hi, can someone please tell me which is the current/most up to date/most regularly used version of XHTML? does it change from browser to browser? do i need to ask the browser what version is the most appropriate to use when dealing with them?also, what have peoples experiences using html been like? is it really so unsound that it always comes out malformed? Finally If i there are any fellow mac users out there what is a good entry level text edit program? Thankyou:)
  3. thanks col and john eva...i'm still having the same probs.....do i have to fill in all of the other fields or should the background image load regardless? I mean, is doing the background the first thing or the last thing that I do? Is there an order?

  5. hi, i've run into a problem loading a background/wallpaper for the web site i'm buildin'. I'm really new to this, and i'm using taco html edit, what i've tried doing is:<html> <head> <title></title> </head> <body><body bacground="imgp0048.jpg"> </body></html>but the browser is ignoring the background image that i specify. Is this a routing issue? Do i need to specify more info re the location of the image, also any info on the advantages of xhtml or different edits to taco are most welcome, thx kidturnedbird
