    Sort a table

There are many JavaScripts available for free.So sorting a table (in any way) isn't an issue here.I'm seeking for as simple as possible way to sort tables (clicking on a column name should sort rows by that column values ascending, clicking again - descending).I guess that using JavaScript Sort function is not optimal for this purpose, but maybe I'm wrong.I can write my own sorting function (for tables, arrays of arrays, etc.), but this isn't the way I would like to do it (it's hard to believe JavaScript doesn't have a function for that). For example this table: <table border="1" id="incom
  2. Just curious why Dreamweaver 8 added <font> tag when I selected text "some text" here <p>some text</p> and then I clicked on Font Tag Editor button (it is on Text palette) and picked color red, which gave this result: <p><font color="#FF0000">some text</font></p> Why on the heavens it added <font> tag when it is deprecated (and doctype is strict)?
  3. Thank you!I've looked herehttp://www.w3schools.com/tags/tag_font.aspand found there that attributes of <font> tag are deprecated, but I didn't noticed that the tag <font> itself is deprecated too.LOL
  4. Please explain why this does not validate.This is my test.htm file: <!DOCTYPE htmlPUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Strict//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-strict.dtd"><html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"><head><meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8"/><title>Some title</title></head><body><p><font>some text</font></p></body></html> Trying to validate it herehttp://validator.w3.org/Validation result is this: Line 13, Column 9: element "font" undefined <p><fon

    Reporting Error

Just found the problem:http://i40.tinypic.com/wmibly.jpgI.e. Frame object doesn't have the property contentDocument in IE at all (even in IE7).I checked it with Firefox (3.0.5) and GoogleChrome (1.0.154.53) and both buttons perfectly worked. So, actually it was false alarm, sorry.

    Reporting Error

Herehttp://www.w3schools.com/htmldom/prop_ifra...entDocument.aspI looked at this example:http://www.w3schools.com/js/tryit.asp?file...contentdocument1) if I press Get text button I get this error:http://i41.tinypic.com/1692agz.jpg2) if I press Edit and Click Me button then I get this errorhttp://i41.tinypic.com/2ufvp0n.jpg3) if I press Get text button again I get this error:http://i42.tinypic.com/1179wdh.jpgSometimes I get no error when I press Edit and Click Me button, but clicking it several times gets an error again and clicking it more times error dissapears etc.But I always get error with
  7. Sorry, somehow my whole post gone. So I will repeat it again.Thank you for replies.1. Similar to your suggestion, but a bit better, which I found here, is this: 2⁄11 2. A very good discussion about the fraction problem (and other math symbols problem in HTML) I found here. It proved that there is no simple solution in displaying math symbols in HTML.3. Here I found a way to display fractions inline. It really works in IE (at least in v6.0), but it doesn't work on FireFox, so this isn't a solution.4.I have installed MathML (and Editor from here),
  8. As far I know there are only three fractions:1/4, 1/2 and 3/4(using ¼, ½, ¾)Even those aren't displayed as they usually are displayed in math books. So, the question is how to display them right? And I mean any fraction:2/5, 11/13, etc.Any suggestions?BTW, it would be a really nice thing if there would be a way to display any LaTeX symbol in HTML. There are some converters from LaTeX to HTML, but I want to understand how to do it myself. And of course I mean converting not to pictures, but to HTML code (if it is possible at all).
