Ya I think I figured it out with textedit. I had to get into preferences and select append ".txt" extension to plain text files. That seemed to work. I used my friends notepad and that seems alot easier I'll check around.

Hey I just started with the whole HTML deal. I started trying out the w3schools tutorial. I'm using OSX and textedit. I got up to where I'm supposed to save the file and then I'm stuck. I try to save it as "mypage.htm". Then a window pops up. "You cannot save this document with extension '.htm' at the end of the name. The required extension is '.rtf'.Then it says i can use both .htm and .rtf cancel or save as .rtfWHAT AM I TO DO?????any help at all would be awesome thanks
