Its ok, Ive worked out what it was. has nothing to do with the html, i was using an active ocx controller on some software im writing, and the print function for the active ocx calls the document about:blank as a filename.thanks anyways Paul

About:blankkeeps apearing as a footer on my print out of my web page. how can i change it . ive put "<title>not blank dam it </title>" as the title but what do i do to get rid of the about:blanl. thanks Paul
