  2. To be honest... this is not my account...I was in a hurry to post a comment here and didn't have an account so I found this account on bugmenot.com and made the post.Have just created an account here as PutzKipa so I will not use this account anymore.
  3. Yup, it helped me a lot.And I like the style and the simplicity of the www.w3schools.comThat's why I got concerned when I saw the site w3fools.com and came here to let people know.
  4. No, I'm not one of the authors of the w3fools.comI just saw it on twitter and came here to let people know.
  5. I suggest you to take a look at http://w3fools.com/And try to make your material better.I used the w3schools a lot when I was learning html and css 4 years ago.I wish you luck.
  6. After all, there is some difference in the way we 'click' using our mouse at some place in the document, and what can be achieved by the dispatchEvent "click" in Firefox.We have a page, which has two iFrames on whole. Left frame having a table of clickable email subjects, and right frame showing the entire body of the selected email. The problem is, the clickable area on the subject is too small, making it a pain to click each email to see its body. So I implemented a way of navigating through them using keyboard in the parent page(using key handlers in Javascript). The problem is, when we load the page for first, the navigation works fine, since the focus is on the parent page. But as soon as someone clicks on any area on the two iFrames, the key handlers don't work because they are in the parent page, not in that frame.I noticed that when I click on any area outside the two frames, it works again. Idea : "Why not do a setTimeOut or setInterval sort of thing, which just sits and keeps on clicking on a place outside the frames"? Good idea, but doesn't work. Why? Is installing the same kind of key handlers in both the frames the only other way? Even setting focus on an element on the parent page doesn't work. Please help.Thanks !

  10. Help please!I am trying to add link styles across all my pages using an stylesheet but I can't get it to work. It only works if I put it individually to every single page but this is very time consuming especially if I have to make any changes. Thank you.Here is my stylesheet:.wrapper{ margin: 0px auto; width: 900px; background-color: #cccccc;}.header{ float: left; width: 100%; height: 200px; background-color: #6699cc;}.content{ float: left; width: 100%; height: 500px; background-color: #ffffff;}.footer{ float: left; width: 100%; height: 70px; background-color: #6699cc;}body { padding: 10px; margin: 10px; font-size: 90%; background-color: #6699cc;}a:link { color: #CCC;}a:visited { color: #69C;}a:hover { color: #00F;}a:active { color: #CCC;}
  11. First of all, thanks for your patience with me. Second, here's what it looks like in each of my browsers.Firefox:http://img210.imageshack.us/img210/6163/firefoxx.jpgSafari:http://img265.imageshack.us/img265/8158/safarif.jpgInternet Explorer:http://img30.imageshack.us/img30/9650/62976734.png
  12. I added that exact line to the CSS file and, well, I don't see a difference. Maybe I'll just have to live with it as it is. I don't know.
  13. Do oyu mean adding padding-bottom:0px to.category a {and.category p {I tried that and nothing changed.
  14. Oh and now there's not even a quote rotator in FF. FML.
  15. It looks just about right in IE now, except for a space above "Hallway Voices." I checked and there is no <br>. Is this something I'm going to have to just live with?
  16. Unfortunately, that still doesn't work. I don't know if you know, but I was foolish and designed that "quoted" picture on a white background the size of the whole module (it's just in the corner of a largely white .jpg). Also, setting the new height of .category was ineffective.
  17. @dsonesukYour solutions worked. Thanks so much.@IngolmeI still have height issues. I deleted the <br>s and everything was fine, but when I deleted the height, it made the whole module taller in IE and shorter in FF. Plus, that bottom picture is still cut off. I understand it's cut off because it is interfering with the padding of the element above it. So how do I push that "quoted" picture down then? Thanks.
  18. Thanks a lot. As always, my work won't start until after 2 a.m., so I'll let you know how it goes.
  19. The site does not look fine in my FF browser. The whole page is aligned left, the navabr is cut short, and the logo is overlapped by the blank banner to its right.I'll fix the Hallway Voices stuff and let you know what happens, though. Thanks.
  20. I am testing it in Safari, IE, and Firefox. I removed those hacks and it does look much better in IE, but now it is all distorted in Safari and Firefox.Regardless of hacks or not, IE also "cuts" off the image I have in the bottom right of the box titled "Happening Now." It also pushes the "Hallway Voices" title out of the box.
  21. My site: http://www.thespartana.netThe bottom right of the page (the two boxes right of my Twitter feed) are always in different positions depending on the browser. Also, IE just displays a jumble of text of the column on the bottom left of the page. Also, IE does not display my quote rotator (which should be below the heading "Hallway Voices."Please help. I am frustrated to tears.
  22. *edit* did get it to work with this (doing the initial element where i call this template) <xsl:template name="initial"> <xsl:for-each select="./*"> <xsl:element name="{name()}"> <xsl:choose> <xsl:when test="./*"> <xsl:call-template name="initial" /> </xsl:when> <xsl:otherwise> <xsl:value-of select="."/> <!-- don't have any attributes --> </xsl:otherwise> </xsl:choose> </xsl:element> </xsl:for-each> </xsl:template>
  23. trouble is, the environment varies - the xsl is for transforming a data xml from system A in to another format so system B can read it, but the systems A and B can be F and G the next daycould it be possible to for-each the partial xml and re-construct it by manually adding the inequality signs and calling name() etc? i'm not quite sure how to close the tags tho', since it's quite hierarchical...
