Xerxes
Hey guys, I have a nav that I built out here:http://www.griffinmarketingservices.com/FOI2/new/home.html..and for some reason the sublinks work in every browser, BUT IE6. It even works fine in IE7. Any ideas or suggestions of a similar flyout nav I could use? Thanks!Here is the CSS for it: #nav { font-family:Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; }ul.nav ,ul.nav li,ul.nav ul { margin: 0; border: 0; padding: 0; list-style: none; width: 140px; }ul.nav li { position: relative; display: block !important; display: inline;/*For IE*/ float: left;/*IE 7*/ }/* 1st Level */ul.nav a { color: #fff; background: #003c79; text-decoration: none; border-left: 1px solid #0A2D4F; border-right: 1px solid #0A2D4F; border-bottom: 1px solid #0A2D4F; text-align: left; padding: 0px 10px; font: normal 11px/22px Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; display: block; height: auto !important; height: 1%; /*For IE*/ }ul.nav a:hover,ul.nav li:hover a,ul.nav a:hover,ul.nav li.over a { color: #fff; background: #3B6E9F; text-decoration: none; }ul.nav a.first { border-top: 1px solid #0A2D4F; }ul.nav a.last { border-bottom: 1px solid #0A2D4F; }ul.nav a.arrow { background-image: url(images/arrow.gif); background-repeat: no-repeat; background-position: 115px 50% }/* 2nd Level */ul.nav li:hover li a,ul.nav li.over li a { width: 140px; line-height: 15px; color: #fff; background: #003c79; text-decoration: none; border-left: 1px solid #003c79; border-right: 1px solid #003c79; border-bottom: 1px solid #003c79; }ul.nav li:hover li a:hover,ul.nav li:hover li:hover a,ul.nav li.over li a:hover,ul.nav li.over li.over a { color: #fff; background: #3B6E9F; text-decoration: none; }ul.nav li:hover li a.first,ul.nav li.over li a.first { border-top: 1px solid #003c79; }ul.nav li:hover li a.last,ul.nav li.over li a.last { border-bottom: 1px solid #003c79; }ul.nav ul { display: none; position: absolute; top: 0; left: 139px; }/* Do Not Move - Must Come Before display:block for Gecko */ul.nav li:hover ul,ul.nav li.over ul { display: block; }ul.nav .nav:after /*IE 7*/ { clear: both; display: block; font: 1px/0px serif; content:; height: 0; visibility: hidden; }
S@m
At first glance, it looks like IE 6 is having a little bit of trouble with the whole page.Check out this thread. It will help you set up conditional comments. That should help you get on the right track for all versions of IE.http://w3schools.invisionzone.com/index.ph...itional+comment
