cpugeek Posted June 2, 2007 Share Posted June 2, 2007 I'm trying to install php on my local pc which is running windows xp.& i was trying to figure out which to choose;Apache/PHP, xampp, or wamp?So, I'm just gonna ask about them.Does one have more capabilities than the others?is one easier to install?what are the capabilities of each one?& which do you prefer? zaniac Posted June 2, 2007 Share Posted June 2, 2007 I chose Xampp and found it easy to install and I think my version of PHP in that package consisted of PHP5. However when saving php files, using the file extention ".php5", my php files did not seem to work, so had to save them under ".php". Unless I myself have done something wrong hehe :)For me though I have no quibbles about using Xampp as I'm only just starting to learn the language.
