Html
<!--#include virtual="/ssi/livecounter.phtml?id=myblueocean"--> How would I go about making this code validate with my page?
boen_robot
This is an HTML comment. It's valid by default. Besides, if SSIs are enabled, the resulting page is what is going to be validated by the validator.
Synook
Yes, because remember, a SSI is written to the document before it is loaded in a viewer's browser, so similarly the W3C validator will also see the code included by the server, not the SSI tag. But remember, whatever you put inside comment tags <!-- --> doesn't matter, because it is excluded when parsing. So even if I typed <!-- dfasdfsdfasdffgeryserhg --> it would still be valid
