I was wondering if there are any major differences in the two versions. The book I'm using is"PHP and MySQL Web Development" by Luke Welling and Laura Thompson. It seems to be well written and it walks you through the examples and scripts so they are easy to understand. I was just curious as to what the differences in the two versions were. Besides what you'll see there, there are some extensions (be it PECL or PEAR style extensions) that could only work with PHP5 or PHP4. The ones I personally use are only for PHP5... well... most of the times. So having that said, I'm pretty tied to it.
