Norman
I was talking with my friend FireHeart about Youtube videos. He say that maybe they aren't under the right copyright propriety for permissions on publishing videos. I mean official videos. Now, I've seen that there are official spaces for bands, like this for example: http://www.youtube.com/user/linkinparktv. So.. what's the right propriety or commercial agreement between YouTube and the bands? What do you think?
Skemcin
Copyrights are only good as far as the owner of the copyright is able or willing to enforce it. Publishing copyrighted material without the owners consent is illegal and YouTube, just like any other online publishing tool (i.e. napster) all fall under the same copyright provisions. So, if a band has a video on any website, either the band has given permission to publish it, or it is illegally published and the band doesn't know about it or it does not have the resources to enforce its copyright privileges.
