select problem

hi,i am having a problem using dropdown input.after selecting a value from dropdown, i want to save that value and pass it to the next page.-ashish

You can send the value as a GET request:

<form action="nextpage.php" method="get"><div><select name="whatever"><option value="yes">Yes</option><option value="no">No</option><option value="dontknow">I don't know</option></select><button type='submit'>Go</button></div></form>

On nextpage.php

<?php echo $_GET["whatever"]; ?>

And you'll get the text "yes", "no" or "dontknow" depending on what you selected.
