HumanZoo22
hello: I am having a problem with obtaining a users screen resolution. Internet explorer keeps throwing a fit. A bar comes up everytime i visit the page Saying "someone is trying to access your computer". I goto other peoples pages and it doesnt do that, when i cut and past thier code onto a test page and try, it says it. Anyone have any ideas why?thanks - Zoo
boen_robot
Have you saved the HTML file on your computer, or on a web server (regardless of whether its on your own computer) i.e. do you run it from (for example) C:\Documents and Settings\USERNAME\Desktop\file.html or from http://example.com/file.html or from http://localhost/file.html Depending on which of theese you're using to access the HTML file, IE applies diferent security settings. Files running on your local file system (like the first code) have almost everything forbidden. Files coming from the internet (like the second code) have moderate security settings. Files coming from the intranet (like the third code) have least security settings. All of that by default at least. The security settings of each "zone" can be adjusted from "Tools > Internet Options > Security ".
