boen_robot
This whole poll is very misleading, and it seems like you want it to lean towards SilverLight.1. Why for ASP.NET? Both Flash and SilverLight are client side applications, not server side applications. ASP.NET is a server application.2. Why "best"? Don't you mean "better"? If so, I'd guess that yeah, SilverLight would be better for ASP.NET, because it's also made from Microsoft, so they'd have more tools to generate SilverLight stuff than they'd have for Flash. In the same fashion, you can say that Flash is better for ColdFusion since both were made by Macromedia and are now owned by Adobe, and thus ColdFusion has more Flash generation tools than SilverLight generation tools.3. What features are we really comparing? Multimedia handling? Feature richness? Accessability? Availability on tools? Popularity?
aspnetguy
Silverlight is going to offer you more integration and will probably be easier to develop but when you consider install base it is next to ZERO. Microsoft doesn't even use it that much on their own site (mind you they are slowly transitioning i.e. Download Center).
