Rothgarr
Hi there. One of my job functions is coding the HTML for emails that are deployed by our system to our opt-in lists. (The emails are deployed in both HTML and Plaintext formats.)For the most part, the emails look correct when viewed in Outlook, Entourage, Mail, Hotmail, Yahoo, AOL, etc. But I feel they could look even better.1) Are there recommended guidelines or links as far as how to code HTML for emails to be as compatible as possible? I guess I'm looking for info like Tables vs DIVs? CSS or no CSS. Inline styles vs style sheets? SPAN vs FONT? etc...2) Also, for some reason our emails seem to lose a lot more integrity when they are forwarded. Entourage seems to butcher any forwarded email, but when I test forwarding, a lot more of the text in our emails loses formatting compared to other HTML I try forwarding. is there a trick to improving this? Or will addressing question #1 automatically fix this issue too?Any links, tips, etc. would be awesome. Thanks!
zppblood
I have no experience in dealing with HTML and emails, so maybe this might help.http://www.sitepoint.com/article/code-html...il-newsletters/
