roundcorners
If I create a database using PHPMyAdmin how do I set it's location and where should I locate it, i.e. Is it ok to keep my db in my root folder or should it be elsewhere?
Synook
MySQL databases (or rather, the tables) are always stored in a fixed location, depending on how MySQL was configured. By default it is $OSS_HOME/var/mysql on the database server. You can't change the storage location for a single database, if you want to move the files you need to change the MySQL configuration file and then manually move existing tables.
