There also will be <header>, <footer> and I think <nav> elements as well, among others. They're just for semantic mark-up and have no other purpose.Once HTML 5 is properly supported in most browsers, they will be preferrable to <div>.For now, I recommend sticking to HTML 4.01 or XHTML 1.0.
