SillyBilly
How can I put a URL in a reply without having to include the title of the web page. I add the hyperlink and then the prompt window appears requiring a title. When I press CANCEL there is an error message reading that I need to enter a title. I want the URL to show rather than the title.A work-around would be appreciated.
Diante
Do you mean you wanthttp://www.myhomepage.comto show up instead of My Webpage? If that is what you are talking about, then simply dont use the http button to create the link. Just type it in. The button is just a shortcut way to hyperlink the text.

When I copied and pasted the URL into the body of the reply there were no url tags around the link, so I assumed that it would not show as a hyperlink. This has been my experience on other forums. But it works here.http://w3schools.invisionzone.com/index.php?showtopic=3429
Skemcin
you are speaking specifically of how this forum handles URLs - correct. Yes, if the URL is a certain length, the discussion board will shorten it and you will see "...." somewhere in the visibile URL - but it does link to the full path.so, when you want to copy a URL from a message, instead of highlighting it and hitting copy, try right clicking on it and select "copy link location" - it will grab the entire URL.
