boen_robot Posted February 3, 2011 Share Posted February 3, 2011 It's a separate web server of Apache, capable of running JSP natively. I'm not 100% sure, but from what I've gathered, to run JSP on Apache, you need to have both Tomcat (as the interpreter for JSP) and mod_jk (for communication with Tomcat).If you don't want to have anything with JSP, Tomcat is pretty much useless.
