thescientist Posted February 15, 2011 Share Posted February 15, 2011 AFAIK, since javascript can't access a local machine, I don't think there's a way. I personally think using a server side language would probably be a lot easier. I believe PHP has native support, or at the very least some libraries for doing such this kind of task. It would reduce the amount of work the client has to do processing the document from one format to another, and then you could have PHP render the data as HTML output, all without stressing the client.Maybe if you ask to have this moved to the javascript forum you might find some more answers that could help your specific situation, however.
