Is there any way that other people can view these if they do not know the direct URL? They are just images so I don't think that Google could crawl it. birbal Posted March 21, 2011 Share Posted March 21, 2011 i did not get you are trying to only backup the image or you are trying to restrict the useryou can put your images outside of publi_html so neither google crawler or any user will be able to see it directly (if its for just backing purpose)as far i am aware google crawler also crawl images thats why we can use google image search. though you can use mod rewrite to prevent crawler to crawl your site. though i am not sure how much effective is that.
