debates my website idea

hi i have a idea for a website its for debating.WHAT WOULD IT LOOK LIKE.

the website would look a bit like twitch aand i bit like you tube when you was watching a debate you could chat to everyone who was watching also there would be a voting system so you could vote for one side or the other so people could see the votes has they was watching the debate

on the front page would be all the channels you sub to also the debates that had the most viewed most liked or most commented on.

 

there would also be a page for people to say who they would like to debate

i would like the channel page to look like like twitch's channel page can i use css to do this. i am going to use square space to make itwhat do you think.

You need more more than CSS to make that. CSS can be used to give the page its appearance, but the functionality needs to come from a server-side language and optionally Javascript.

if i wanted to make the website so the home page looked like you tube

the page you got when you logged looked like twitch's do you think i could do that by using square space and ustream

or do you think i would need a server and a language like Javascript.
