BabaFree
Hey Everyone:I'm looking for somewhere that I can find local web design groups that I can join. So far, my Google skills have failed me. Is there a website that lists these kinds of groups?BTW, I'm searching in the Nashville, TN area. Thanks,Brandon

BabaFree
I'll agree that this is a great resource. What I'm looking for, however (as far as this thread is concerned), is a resource to find local groups that I can physically be part of. Something that has meetings and conferences and the like. I looked into places like the HTML Writers Guild and such, but I would rather have something in my area. Any ideas? Thanks,Brandon
brewzer_bob
Most cities have a .net user groups at least most large metro areas? Not sure if that's what your looking for but they do exist? And surely there will be people that can assist with any HTML, DHTML or specific web type questions you can ask and meet etc.?http://www.nashdotnet.org/ is one example from google search? Each of your sentences are statements, they should all end in a period. Oddly enough, they all end in a question mark. Is there a foreign country I'm not aware of that uses question marks in place of periods? In addition to .net, there are also PHP user groups, both online and in person, Linux user groups, all kinds of stuff. Most user groups center on a specific technology though, such as .net, PHP, or Linux. There aren't a lot of user groups for general concepts like web or graphic design. You might be able to find a Photoshop user group, or Dreamweaver user group or something like that though. That is what you would want to do a Google search for if that's the case. Skemcin
There are also software user groups too. There is an Adobe(Macromedia) MX Studio user group that meets in Chicago (for instance) and I know these are regionally organized. Regardless of you programming preference (cold fusion , php, asp) a software group is nice to visit from time to time to learn how to be more productive with your development tools. Here are some links to help you figure out what you might find:http://www.mmugchicago.org/http://www.cccfug.orghttp://www.cfugtoronto.orghttp://www.cnug.orghttp://chiphpug.php.net
