sunstallion
I would love to learn ASP.NET, but do I have to learn programming languages like VB or C# before actually practicing ASP.NET ? because I look at most job descriptions, they require knowing VB. But when I read about ASP.NET, I really dont have to know VB or C#. So, I am confused ? My point of learning ASP.NET is to get a job, and also doing it for fun. But if I dont have to learn VB or C# before ASP, then it would save me some time, and faster. Please help. Greatly appreciate.
aspnetguy
ASP.Net is written in VB or C#, you have a choice.

aspnetguy
Yes, whether you are using .Net to write desktop programs or web programs(asp.net) you use either VB or C#. Your code will look very similar for either situation.ASP.Net in a sense isn't a language...it is a framework or structure to allow you to write C# or VB code.
